"I have always been a crafter, but have found my true calling in working with vintage materials-there's nothing quite like it. I enjoy the challenge of creating something new from something old. The textures add such depth to projects and evoke strong memories of a bygone time. Each ribbon, button, or scrap of paper is, in essence, a miniature time capsule. Remembering and sharing these special periods of time is so important and including them in a creative way, is truly a treasure."

"I am thrilled to share vintage-inspiration, and techniques, through Vintage Street Market. I hope that everyone who enjoys going to antique stores, flea markets and tag sales will try their hand at creating something new from these found materials, and craft their own vintage treasures!"

Michelle Jackson has years of experience working in the scrapbooking and paper-crafting industry on several different levels-most recently as the Creative Director of a small scrapbooking start-up that quickly grew and gained international recognition. In this capacity, Michelle worked on product design, and was the main point of contact for the manufacturing of the product overseas. Additionally, Michelle managed the Design and Educator teams, acted as Project Manager for several trade shows and was the advertising point of contact.

Formally, Michelle holds degrees in Psychology and Art History which she received at Colorado State University in 1994. She married her husband Mark Jackson in October 1998. The couple live in beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado with their two children.
